Leicester’s PET Warehousing joins Palletways

03.05.2017 –
A leading haulage operator across Leicester has become the latest company to join Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network.

PET Warehousing (PET), based at East Goscote, will handle single pallet loads to large scale consignments and will cover the LE4, LE5, LE7, LE13 and LE14 postcodes in Leicester.

Managing director, Vanessa Perry, said: “We decided to join Palletways because of its mature domestic and pan-European networks, which will add value to our existing services. Palletways is also ahead of the curve in terms of innovation and technology and its Digital Information Hub and state-of-the-art monitoring and tracking systems will enhance our operational efficiencies. We’re pleased to be part of Palletways and are excited with the opportunities that being part of Europe’s largest palletised freight network affords.”

Barry Byers, Palletways’ network director, added: “This appointment demonstrates the importance we place on recruiting the most experienced firms in the logistics industry. PET is a great asset to the network and we’re looking forward to drawing on their experience to grow our presence in and around the East Midlands region.”

Since its formation in 1992, PET has gained a wealth of experience and expertise in the provision of a wide range of warehousing and distribution services and employs 15 members of staff.

PET is one of over 100 members in the Palletways UK network – Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. The company’s distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share each other’s resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
