Diamond Distribution celebrates five years in business with major growth

Croydon logistics provider, Diamond Distribution, is celebrating its fifth company anniversary, having grown the business by 225% since it was founded in 2013.

Diamond is a member of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. Starting out with 14 members of staff and eight vehicles, Diamond has grown to employ 24 people and operate a fleet of 18 vehicles across the South East, with deliveries and collections in the CR/SM/RH and TN postcode areas. It has a wide range of customers from tile manufacturers to beauty product wholesalers.

Keeley Priestman, Managing Director, Diamond Distribution, said: “The last five years have flown by and we’ve grown significantly since our formation. I believe a key part of our success is being a member of the Palletways family. The unique selling points of Palletways, like its state-of-the-art IT and tracking systems, estimated time of arrivals technology and additional pallet sizes, have helped us enormously to increase our postcode area and double delivery quantities. It’s also great to get support and advice from Palletways and fellow members to benefit our business and customer base.

“Looking ahead to the next five years; our goal is to open a sub-depot, grow the business further by working with Palletways – its new evening delivery option for example will be great for our customers – and create the Diamond brand.”

Palletways Network Development Director, Barry Byers, added: “Diamond’s anniversary is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the hard work of the entire team. The company is an important part of the Palletways network, and was awarded the Palletways Platinum Award for service in 2017.”

Diamond Distribution is one of over 110 independent transport providers who are part of the Palletways UK network. They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before. The Palletways Group comprises 400 depots and 17 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 20 European countries, including the UK.
