A transport firm in Burnley has announced a partnership with Ecologi, an environmental platform dedicated to combating climate change. The collaboration is a pivotal step in EFS Global’s commitment to championing sustainability and minimising its environmental footprint.
Mark Jones, managing director at EFS Global which is part of the Palletways UK network, said: “With a growing awareness and concern among the public regarding environmental issues, we recognise the importance of taking action now to support conservation efforts. By partnering with Ecologi, we aim to capitalise on this momentum and encourage more people to engage in sustainable practices.
“Through our partnership, we have committed to plant 2,000 trees annually until 2040 through the Palletways Online ordering system and verified Trustpilot reviews. This partnership will promote biodiversity, offset our carbon footprint, and contribute positively to the ecosystem. It also aligns with our broader commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 and transition our fleet to renewable fuels by December 2027.”
Warwick Trimble, network director for Palletways UK, added: “EFS Global has recently made huge environmental strides which includes solar panels at its head office in Burnley, introducing electric vehicles to its fleet, planning a trial with Natural Gas-powered Iveco tractors and using a cloud-based system to drive its paperless initiative. The decision to partner with Ecologi reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to achieve a greener future through collaboration, innovation, and responsible practices.”
