Palletways Birmingham has received a Bronze award from the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) for a third consecutive year, highlighting its commitment to high quality fleet transport.
FORS, an industry-led accreditation scheme, promotes road freight as a safe and sustainable mode of transportation. It’s open to any company operating a fleet and to the organisations that award contracts to them. Palletways Birmingham is part of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. The FORS Bronze accreditation emphasises Palletways’ commitment to fleet and driver safety, environmental impact and efficiency to customers.
Garry Curtis, general manager of Palletways Birmingham, says: “The FORS bronze re-accreditation is a great coup for us – it sends out a strong signal to our employees, customers and competitors that we are committed to market-leading methods of working.”
Zac Brown, director of Owned Operations for Palletways UK, adds: “FORS accreditation demonstrates dedication to driver and vehicle safety, combined with improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage. Currently over 4,000 organisations across the UK and Europe are accredited and FORS has become the industry standard.
“The Palletways network includes 110 UK depots, seven of which are owned by Palletways Group. All seven – Edinburgh, Bristol, London, Cardiff, Oxford and Glasgow, in addition to Birmingham – have been successfully re-accredited, as we continue to invest in our hub infrastructure and our people.”
Palletways Birmingham handles single pallet loads to large scale consignments and covers the Birmingham postcode. Today, it operates from a 50,000sq. ft warehousing facility near Lichfield.
